my approach

Counsellor and Psychotherapist in Guildford, Surrey

I truly believe that talking can and does help. I have watched clients transform just from having the space to speak openly, honestly and most importantly, freely, about their concerns, thoughts, feelings, and fears. However, the relationship between therapist and client is paramount – trust and connection between the two is what creates the safe space for a client to share and if we get this right, personal empowerment often follows.

We all have a past that moulds us into who we are and as long as those learned behaviours work for us, life goes on but when we are faced with challenges and difficulties, those learned behaviours may stop working for us and the need to change our thoughts, behaviour or relationships becomes necessary. This is where counselling and psychotherapy can help. I see my role as that of working with you to find the path you were meant to travel, guiding you and helping you find your inner peace, voice or just getting back to you. Sometimes we just need a bit of help to get back on track. I can work on a short-term or long-term basis, depending on your needs.

Some of the issues I work with are:
